wie kan mij vertellen hoe ik de knop van de vesrnellingspook van de freelander los kan halen. Knop is met leer bekleed maar dit laat los en moet ik opnieuw vast maken. ditis makkelijker als ik de knop los kan meenemen.

I'm assuming we are talking about the manual version here

- lift up the surround at the base of the lever including the HDC switch. It is clicked in.
- disconnect the blue connector from the switch
- now unscrew the knob (anticlockwise) the whole knob and the leather gaiter comes free.
- now turn the gaiter inside out so the knob is at the top with the gaiter covering it, you will see a rubber ring round the base of the knob
- the knob now will pull free of the gaiter

Re-assembly is a reversal of removal

1.8K Series Benzine or Td4 ?

If it's the former I know someone who has a werkplaatsboek for sale viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3997 and although it says it covers up to the 2000MY it would be suitable for a manual 1.8K Series.
