Most people assume the Salisbury is a Series III item however it was introduced in November 1970 with the introduction of the Suffix H chassis number, 11 months before the introduction of the Series III in October 1971.
So it depends what chassis number you have and if it's G or before then the previous owner fitted a later axle. The Axle number would tell you what vehicle it came from.
Oh and if it makes it easier the ENV end casing is round and the Salisbury is a heptagon
