discovery 3 2005 Motor??? handrem

hallo,

discovery 3 2005 aut. bij gebruik handrem kraakt piept er een hoop, kabels worden wel gespannen.
kan ik het systeem eronder vandaan halen en smeren? of is het een teken dat hij is overleden?

... there are no serviceable items on the Handbrake Module. If it starting to make noise then either the adjustment of the handbrake shoes needs to be looked, one or both sets of shoes are worn out, or one of the shoes has seized where the cable attaches to it (a common problem) or as it's a 2005 then after 10 years of use it is tired and has died.

I would be taking the brake discs off and checking the condition of the shoes, re adjust them correctly and see if it makes a difference but the majority of the time it's a new module.

omdat ik een automaat heb wordt de handrem weinig gebruikt. bij demontage van de remschoenen blijkt alles ook vastgeroest te zitten. alles gangbaar gemaakt en goed afgesteld.
\Hij werkt weer als een nieuwe. geen raar geluid meer. bedankt voor de reacties
