Defender TD5: Ruitenwisser stopt na 1 keer

Hallo allemaal,

De ruitenwisser deed het niet meer, dus maar meteen een park switch gekocht via Paddockspares. Deze heb ik er net ingezet, maar tot nu toe geen gewenst resultaat.

Als de ruitenwissermotor goed zit gemonteerd, en ik zet hem aan, gaat hij 1 keer heen en dan slaat hij af en doet verder niks meer.
Als het onderstaande loshaal (zie foto) (grote moer onder het rode rondje en de twee pijltjes)
Dan werkt de ruitenwisser goed, incl alle standen.

Is er iemand die mij kan helpen? Er is vast iets wat ik niet goed doe.

Bij mij stopte de wisser naar willekeur en deed de interval het niet meer, ook stuurschakelaar was spontaan lam. Alles net vernieuwd incl. dat witte plastic schakelaartje op de motor. Doet het nu weer als het hoort!

Tip: tape gelijk je slang van de voorruitont
wasseming even vast met ducktape,....blaast die ook weer als vanouds

Now your Td5 is a post July 2001 Model Year and they made made several significant changes to the wiper system.

The position of the wiper motor in the bracket held by the 2 smaller screws (arrowed) is also crucial, in the photo the motor looks a little too far inclined towards the bulkhead but the rubber pad behind appears to be in the correct place. The motor should be aligned correctly to the bracket first and the screws tightened.

The big nut is what holds the cable into the end of the motor and also provides the top mounting point as the motor has to sit perfectly straight up against the cable tube. This nut must be tightened to no more than 8Nm with the motor correctly seated in the bracket.

You can remove the silver panel (held on with the four 7mm self tapping screws) and look to see if everything is moving freely.

Also the position of the park switch is crucial, it is clipped in correctly to the motor housing ?

Bedankt voor je reactie, Rob.
Inderdaad, de kabel heeft veel weerstand. Als je beide ruitenwisserbladen van het raam haalt, werkt hij prima! en geeft geen weerstand bij de kabel. Zodra ik de verste ruitenwisser op het raam zet (vanaf de ruitenwissermotor), dan komt er weerstand op de kabel. Je hoort de kabel ook duidelijk ergens voorbij klappen, maar dit geluid komt niet bij de ruitenwissermotor vandaan, maar bij de de verste ruitenwisser.

De park switch zit goed gemonteerd.
