No you cannot disable the factory fitted immobiliser as you cannot reprogram the CJB to a different market. You can however swap the CJB/CCU with a second hand one and re synchronise the fobs. The one that you would need would be YQE102930 and was fitted from 1996 to the end of the 2000 Model Year. Chassis Numbers 1A onwards will not fit. Out of interest a new one would cost you € 295,07 inc BTW from Land Rover and about the same from anywhere else. Britpart used to do one but it was withdrawn as it only worked on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
