Typisch staaltje Nederlandse besluitvorming. Ben benieuwd hoe de Nederlandse JSF er uiteindelijk uit gaat zien!

De nieuwe JSF wordt beslist een 24V diesel met een visco-fan voorop, en wat Jate rings om 'm toch nog een vertical take-off capability te geven.

Ik hoop overigens dat de JSF snel zo geluidsbarrières-brekend-duur wordt dat ie voor altijd aan de grond blijft. Hoe je ook tegenover een defensie-apparaat staat: de JSF is wederom een product om de vorig oorlog uit te vechten, dus net zo iets als de IJssel-linie die tot in de 60er jaren de Russen moest tegenhouden, terwijl een oorlog eerder al had geleerd dat de Grebbe-linie de Duitsers al niet kon tegen houden.

By-the-by: De Light-Weight (excuus voor m'n Engels) was overigens zelf van het begin af aan out-dated. Deze LandRover werd ontwikkeld om onder een helicopter vervoerd te kunnen worden, en de toenmalige helicopters hadden een beperkte draagkracht. Tegen de tijd dat de Light-Weight in productie kwam konden de helicopters ook "heavy-weight" LandRovers tillen, dus de ingenieuze constructie om de Light-Weight te kunnen afslanken was uiteindelijk nergens voor nodig.

nope, nog niet, moet eens een keer stoppen als ik langs Purmerend rij ;)

maar ik heb gelukkig nooit in dienst gehoeven, dus al die legertroep ken ik alleen van zien en horen zeggen ;)

in die tijd nog geen nato-universele uitvoeringen dus? of is dat verhaaltje nu nog steeds broodje aap (dat voertuigen in de natolanden universeel aangepast worden voor defensie gebruik)

ik dacht dat die knipperlichten en dergelijke op alle legerlightweights hetzefde waren..moet ik zeggen dat ik me er nooit in verdiept heb, en dat ook niet van plan ben

De richtingaanwijzers... zag ik meteen. Maar binnenin las ik ook het NL instructieplaatje linksvoor. Tussen de voorstoelen was trouwens een kachel zo groot als een bierkist geplaatst....

Oh Roger, indicators, sidelights, front white reflectors, PVC hood .... we must work more on your product knowledge ;) Oh and thanks to the previous post, rear tail light units and rear tub.
