Groet Rob R.
Statistieken: Geplaatst door NUAB — 01 Apr 2015, 18:32

... yes you can take it off, it's only held on with a few M10 bolts.

You must first empty the tank, safest way is to keep driving until the light comes on

Now to remove the cradle completely you will have to remove the propshaft, the handbrake cables and the rear differential front mounting bracket. The fuel filler pipe is held on with a clip at the top right of the tank and the supply and return pipes can be accessed from under the right hand rear passenger seat along with the electrical connector.

Drop the complete tank and cradle down and out and lift the tank off the cradle.

The complete job with all the tools takes about 2Hrs in the workshop so allow an afternoon.

Currently we are doing quite a few as there is a bulletin issued due to poor connectors in the tank giving mis-reads on the fuel gauge, so you cut the connector off and splice the wires together (I kid you not)

Rob

Groet Rob
Statistieken: Geplaatst door NUAB — 24 Mar 2015, 17:20
