Bedankt rob,

De speling is gecontroleerd zonder montage van de aandrijf assen.

Ik draai dus met de hand aan de flens, waar normaal de aandrijf als tegenaan gemonteerd zit. Dus front propshaft disconnected.

... adjustment of the Salisbury is interesting and please bear in mind that you cannot just tighten the pinion nut as there is a collapsible spacer behind it and over tightening it makes matters worse. 30 degrees is not actually outside operating limits.

For the front Rover differential then 90 degrees is way too much, now is this free play with the front propshaft connected or disconnected ?

If the front prop is disconnected then you are looking at some serious play in either the diff, drive flanges or as it is a Stage One then the CV joints (homokinetische) and investigation should be done to ascertain exactly where the play is.

If the front prop is still connected then it becomes a little more interesting as there are 3 UJ's in you propshaft which will also give you play. The Double Hookes Joint at the gearbox end is the main suspect and, unlike the Discovery II item, is serviceable using 2x AEU1997 the front UJ is RTC3346.

Stageone, speling differentieel

hallo,

Tijdens het rijden merk ik dat er behoorlijk veel "vrije" slag zit op mijn diff's. Ik rijdt met een 109 stage one '83

Het achterste diff, een salibury, heeft een vrije slag van ongeveer 30 graden. De voorste heeft ongeveer 90 graden.

Ik heb hiermee geen ervaring, maar mogelijk dat iemand mij kan adviseren. Zijn deze diff's na na te stellen ???

of moet ik denken aan een reparatie en/of ruil revisie ???
