Ja de 99 heeft de regelbare interval. Er staat ook heel groot 99 op, dus niet te missen
Volgens de sloper zitten niet in alle VW's hetzelfde relais, hij moest er naar zoeken. De mijne komt uit een Passat.

ja, ik weet hoe het bij VW werkt, maar vroeg me af of 99 dát relais is en dus de reden om dat er in te zetten

Ja, intervalstand aan en direct weer uit, dan na de gewenste intervaltijd weer aan (en aan laten). Wanneer je de intervalstand gewoon aan zet en aan laat dan wordt de langste intervaltijd 'aangehouden".

Prachtig topic en forum!
Ik had onlangs dit probleem en met behulp van dit topic zowel een nieuw wit blokje uit een blauw doosje als een VW99 relais (à €2,50 van de sloop) geplaatst. Die laatste is een modificatie met de beste inspanning/kosten/resultaat verhouding ooit

Ik heb ongeveer hetzelfde probleem, alleen werken mijn ruitenwissers prima. Maar, soms kloppen ze tijdens het wissen onderaan tegen de raam. Soms stoppen ze mooi horizontaal, en dan bedoel ik niet als ik ze uitzet maar gewoon tijdens het wissen. Ik kan ze ook met de hand een 10-tal cm verplaatsen als ze uit staan.

Een nieuwe ''Park Switch or Ruststandschakelaar'' besteld, gister binnen gekregen.
Meteen verwisseld met de oude, dit was dus idd het probleem.

Das met de OE accu van Exide ook zo! In accu land zijn hoofdzakelijk maar 2 partijen die aan OE leveren. OES (de 2e accu) is voor dat merk en type dan van dezelfde fabrikant, dus identieke specs én kwaliteit

Genuine Parts are either made by Land Rover or by a 3rd Party that have exclusive rights to manufacture the part by Land Rover

OEM Parts are made by a 3rd party that either manufactured the part and Land Rover used that part or that manufactured the part exclusively for Land Rover and were given permission to market it under their own brand name

Pattern Parts are made by a 3rd party that either are cheap copies of OEM parts but are no longer patented or licensed exclusively or are made by the OEM manufacture but are not labelled as OEM and in some cases can be quality rejects or seconds.

This gets confusing and in certain cases the OEM parts are actually more expensive than the OEM part as Land Rovers pricing structure is geared towards supplying parts that are 3 years or newer at a reduced rate as they are still covered by the warranty structure and are basically sold at cost plus overhead with little or no profit margin.

ohhhkee... dus OEM en Pattern zegt niks over de fabrikant.... je kunt er dus nog steeds niet van uit gaan dat een OEM deel ook gefabriceerd wordt door de fabrikant die ook voor het genuine part verantwoordelijk is?... dus non genuine kopen blijft een lot uit de loterij vwb kwaliteit?

... now that's an interesting question Roger, you see it's all to do with licences and patents.

If you manufacture an item for a company under licence or you yourself manufacture an item and sell it then there is a limited time span that that item is protected for, after that time then the restrictions governing the intellectual property of that item expire and it is possible to manufacture that item quite legally so long as you clearly state that it is not the original part and is not connected in any way with the original part.

Now coming to items in the Blue Box, a large number of those are manufactured in separate factories using cheaper materials and less stringent tolerances etc etc hence the reduction in price and the reduction in quality.

In this particular case then the white blokje is still manufactured in a single location and sold globally by 4 companies, one of those companies is quite happy to accept the moulding without identification markings on it whilst the others all have theirs going through an additional process. As the item is still a current Land Rover item, only recently given a new Part Number by the way to identify it as Genuine not OEM then Lucas don't openly publicise that they do this but believe you me certain items in certain boxes are the same the world over, the trick is knowing which item is which and knowing it's source.

en dan ben ik weer nieuwsgierig waarom een onderdeel van de OEM fabrikant toch een "Pattern" onderdeel is en niet OEM.....
