compatibiliteit modus naar 98 zetten doet ook niks. Alleen maar een nieuwe error..
duurt zowiezo lang voordat de cd opstart en het menu toont... in W7 Pro.

... so I'm confused ? why do all my Land Rover CD's (I have the set) run quite happily under Windows 7 Pro

deze cd loopt alleen onder win98 (ja 98)
is mij nooit gelukt onder nieuwere Windows versies.

ik heb nog een oude laptop die ik daarvoor bewaar.

maar inmiddels heb ik zoveel handboeken in gewoon PDF dat ik die CD zelden nog gebruik.

Adobe Reader 9.5 stopt bij 38% met installeren 'verbinding verbroken/opnieuw verbinden", meerdere pogingen gedaan.
Adobe Reader 10 en 11 slikken geen LaRo Manual PDF's, ook niet na opnieuw installeren.

ik heb de nieuwe versie van de 'original" technical publications.
morgen middag maar weer eens verder kijken en bellen met leverancier.

... now out of curiosity, the old version (which I use) has a program called index which you run, this then gives various options

when you select Original Publications, this gives a sub menu for the Parts Manuals, Workshop Manuals etc.

and then selecting for instance Engine you get this

Now I stopped downloading Adobe Reader after 9.5.5 as it is the most stable Adobe Reader to date and doesn't conflict with the old legacy products from Land Rover which I use every day. So maybe you could try downloading 9.5.5 from Adobe themselves here https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/otherversions/ the newer versions don't give you any benefits

Zondag de dvd maar besteld na dit topic volgen...

Fijn,
de CD start op na lang wachten, klik op een manual.
Zegt Adobe dat hij de pdf niet kan openen door een fout in het bestand.....

Is zelfs de digitale uitvoering van de manuals besmet met het Land Rover virus?
je krijgt een hoop, maar of het allemaal werkt... nee dus..

RAVE was the official Land Rover documentation tool before GTR and then TOPIx however this only gave the workshop manual and not the parts catalogue this was originally EPC and then Microcat and now Microcat Live.

However good old Land Rover in their infinite wisdom did release all the manuals in PDF format officially as a complete DVD which includes the Workshop Manual, Parts Catalogue and Owners Hand books.

Now as you haven't said what year the Disco 1 is (please put it in your signature ) I have listed both DVDs below

LHP3 covers Discovery from 1989 to 1994 (so the V8 Carb, Efi and 200Tdi)
LHP32 covers Discovery from 1994 to 1998 (so V8 Efi and 300Tdi)

... most of the usual suspects sell them and will cost around €20,00 but if you google LHP3 Discovery or LHP32 Discovery you'll find them.

... and on a personal note I use both paper manuals/catalogues and electronic versions too. I enjoy reading the paper ones but if I am working on a vehicle it is handy to print out the relevant sections and not be worried if they get a little dirty
