de nummers die op de schokbreker staan zijn W018570 , OE11026 en C082A3

I could go into the technicalities, but I'm sure there are much better qualified people here that would love to jump in.

They both work in the same way which is basically oil passes through a valve and the slower the oil passes through the stiffer the shock absorber will be. In an normal Oil filled shock absorber the top of the reservoir is filled with air, with multiple compressions the oil and air get warm and the oil starts to foam becoming less dense so passing through the valve more easily thereby reducing the damping effect. With Gas filled ones the air is replaced by an inert gas which doesn't combine with the oil so readily and thus the damping effect is still retained. Also this brings us into the territory of adjustable shock absorbers where the size of the valve can be adjusted either with a dial or using the body itself and thus the damping effect can be set from soft to hard.

als ik nog een keer nieuwe schokbrekers nodig heb voor mijn landrover worden het Bilstein B6 schokbrekers met upside down technologie. Nog minder last van schuimvorming bij extreme belasting en sterker.

het bedrijf waar ik ze heb gekocht in amsteveen bestaat niet meer en voor de prijs had ik geen zin om er tijd en moeite voor te doen om rechtstreeks met de fabrikant kontakt op te nemen.

had zelf nog een oude voorraad van ongeveer 200 boge, armstrong en koni schokbrekers liggen van vroeger en heb een paar passende koni's gevonden die qua in en uitgeveerde lengte overeenkomen en deze koni's kan je in hardheid stellen.
zal morgen even kijken of ik de procomp nog heb liggen voor het batchnummer/produktiedatum.

@rob, dank voor de extra uitleg. Ik kon het wel volgen, maar idd de afbeeldingen hoorden niet bij elkaar en wilde even mijn bevindingen toetsen .

Die schokdempers is een goede tip kan ik ook op het lijstje zetten .

Wat is trouwens het verschil tussen een schokdemper met olie en gas??

Hallo Sander, hoe is dit uiteindelijk opgelost dan? ben je gestopt met terreinrijden of bleef je derde set wel heel of heb je andere gestoken?

ik heb zelf onder mn LW een setje bearmatch parabolen gehangen, en deze kwamen samen met procomp schokbrekers. heb het geheel er inmiddels een jaartje of 4 onder hangen, en tot heden niks over te klagen. zeker, op het eerste oog ben ik er mee eens dat de procomps kwalitatief al minder ogen dan monroe of OME. maar vergelijk ze dan ook eens in prijs. prijs/kwaliteit verhouding klopt gewoon.

Ik heb slechte ervaringen met de Procomp schokbrekers met ring/pen bevestiging.
De pen is er op gebakken ipv netjes gelast.
Heb er in een half jaar twee afgebroken met terreinrijden na het monteren van paraboolveren en de langere Procomp schokbrekers.

Sorry Piet maybe I caused a bit of confusion.

The shock absorber in the picture was the front one, the rears do indeed have the "schroefdraad ipv oog" as you can see in photo of the full set (ignore the Westie bottom left and Black/Brown Cat top right)

Now time has moved on, and 13 years later, I fitted another set of parabolics but this time I used Procomp ES3000s. Now these are a little bit longer again the part numbers etc you can find on the Paddock web site

Net Dennis even een PB gestuurd dat ik de dempers wil hebben. Ga nog uitzoeken of ze werkelijk passen en de juiste technische eigenschappen hebben, maar kan nooit kwaad om dingen te hebben liggen.

Hoi Piet,

Ik heb even gekeken, ik heb hier liggen de Monroe 4x4 adventure D8645 (STC1881M)
Ik heb helaas alleen de achter dempers zie ik net. Mocht je (of iemand anders) er iets mee kunnen dan hoor ik het wel.
