Set up the static timing first to 3deg and then play with it.
For timing then normally it should be between 3deg and 6deg BTDC for LPG and the vacuum advance should be working. You can test it by sucking on the
vacuum pipe and seeing if the baseplate moves, alternatively if you don't have vacuum advance then the mechanical advance mechanism under the base plate could be rusted. This would be a symptom of the idle working perfectly but the higher revs not.
