Ik had al zo'n vermoeden dat dit de nederlandse (goedkope) egr removeal kit was.
Een fatsoenlijke EGR kit wordt aan "het lijstje" toegevoegd.

It looks from you photos, that the previous owner removed the vacuum actuator and bolted the EGR Klep shut so basically it's an open pipe as it would be if the job had been done with an EGR removal kit and a replacement pipe.

The system you have does work but there is always a chance of leakage back through the exhaust trajectory. If it was me I would be thinking about getting a proper kit and doing the job properly in the future.

Ok loskoppelen dus.

Maar is het nu zo dat de klep zelf, of de bediening van de klep (onderdeel 12 op het plaatje) er bij mij niet meer op zit ?
Ik neem dan nu ook aan dat de klep nu zo staat dat er geen uitlaatgas meer in het inlaattraject terecht komt. Zoals hier http://www.td5chips.co.uk/images/dirtyegr1.gif
Heeft het nu nog zin om een EGR blanking kit te plaatsen, of gewoon zo laten.

The light brown one (No 2) needs to stay in place as it is connected to the vacuum system for the brakes. The green one (No 17) goes to an in-line air filter again you can leave it in place. The one that is sealed off was blue and went to the EGR klep itself. Normally you blank it off at the end of the pipe. The modulator itself is now opening and closing under instruction from the Engine Management System and as there is no klep actuation the sensors are getting conflicting messages and therefore try and get the modulator to actuate even more, hence the chattering from the modulator. As it is a pure on/off feed from the EMS then there is no problem disconnecting the modulator and it will then be silent, no faults will be logged in the EMS.

TD5 EGR Solenoid ratelt

Hallo Allemaal,

Af en toe hoor de EGR Solenoid ratelen als een dolle. Nu weet ik in grote lijnen wat de EGR klep doet, en dat er mensen zijn die de EGR klep verwijderen.
Nu vermoed ik dat er bij al in een grijs verleden al een aanpassing is gedaan. Op de solenoid zijn namelijk maar twee leidinkjes aangesloten. De aansluiting waar ooit de EGR klep op zat is afgedopt.
En de EGR klep herken ik ook niet als degene uit de workshop manual. Kan het zijn dat

Is er iemand met een vermoeden wat er aan de hand is ? En wat moet ik dan nu nog met die solenoid, gewoon de stuur kabel er af ?
